As most of you know, Skype is currently only available to Verizon Wireless Blackberries. However, it does have an OTA link, which checks on the fly if your BB is Verizon's. I beleive that if you were to change the Vendor ID to one matching Verizon, the OTA link would work without problems.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever attempted this, or if anyone has any insight into the matter. I would rather not risk bricking my BB for something that's been proven not to work.

So, any thoughts on the matter?

It's also available for telkomsel the download link at m.skype.com is a redirect to there site and only working if you are downloading from there network.
From Other networks the link is not working.

It won't work unless the device is active on one of the supported networks. Verizon in the US, 3 in the UK, and Telkomsel in Indonesia.

Even if you were able to get the download to work, the application would not work without the device actually being on the supported network.
