Sup, I just got my replacement Bold 9700 from t-mobile and was attempting to install Blackberry App World from their site, but when I get to the final step it states:

[Unsupported Device]

[Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry App World.]

I have OS: 5.0.0.586, no data-plan
My sister has the same phone which I installed App World and seems to be working fine, only diff is that she has the previous OS.

What should I do? Any help/sugg accepted. TY

Well, I never ever had a data plan before, nor did my sister, yet she has it and I was able to download it before on my last 9700.

I don't know, but I have many times before. It was fully functional and still is on my sisters, and like I said, we don't have data.

UPDATE: Thanks to all for the "positive you can do it posts" But I simply backed up my sisters apps and restored them on my phone, so now I have Blackberry App World and have successfully downloaded cunchSMS from it. And I still don't have a data-plan

So wait... your previous 9700 was able to download app world and apps, but the new 9700 that has .586 can't?

Are you even able to browse the web without a data plan?! If so, screw the $30 a month that I'm paying now. haha
