I downloaded an upgrade to BB App World yesterday. As soon as this was done, my app world icon disappeared.
I have the application showing as an add on in applications, but can't find the icon.
I have deleted the add on and re-installed and still no icon...
    Can someone please help me?
I have all the apps that I downloaded previously, and they work - just can't get any new ones at this point.

Pull your battery. It should show up after the phone reboots.

I tried that several times, and still nothing - I've checked my downloads and applications folder - it's nowhere to be found.
I also uninstalled and reinstalled from the website through my phone. Nothing...any other ideas?
    This is driving me crazy!

There's a lot of threads on this already. Maybe there's an answer in them. I had no problem with mine. Good luck!

Go to options and under theme check to see which folder you have set for your downloads to go to and then check that folder. if you have not already that is

Did you accidentally hide it? To check that press the BB button and then select Show All, IF you then see App World go to it press BB again, and select hide to uncheck it and to unhide App World.

Yeah...I'm not going thru the hassle of wiping and then restoring my phone for App World. Sorry RIM....

Since App World 2.0 has been announced, it's probably best to just wait for that to be released.

Have you checked your other folders like "Downloads" also if you click the Blackberry Button and choose switch application you can see if its running in the background, If the worst happens Re-download it off the Blackberry Site, Hope you get it sorted soon!

Thats the crappiest workaround Ive ever seen for an App Icon. Seriously? I"ve had a BB for the last 6 years, and I'm seriously thinking about getting something else... the maintenance for the Blackberry is RIDICULOUS.

Well, nobody said it was a good work around. I expect Cr@PP World 2.0 to be out soon, since it's now in beta, and that should correct the problem.
