ShortcutMe 6 can load and safely run macros written by others.
A loaded macro file, is called a Plug-in Function because it shows up in the ShortcutMe's Functions List, in addition to being as integrated in ShortcutMe as default functions.

This short video clip shows how to download and use Plug-in Functions.

Hopefully many ShortcutMe users turn their existing macros into plug-in functions and post them here in this thread so that others, specially newbies, can use their macros.

How to use these plug-ins in ShortcutMe 6+:

To use on of these plug-ins, download the attached file and store it in your micro SD card in the folder:
SDCard/scm/scmpluginfunctions/

Then open and close ShortcutMe once to load it (it will be loaded if minimum requirements for the plug-in are met).
ShortcutMe's required permissions must be set to ALLOW otherwise the plugin will not be loaded (Go to ShortcutMe>BB Key>Common Config and click "Set App Permissions" button)

The plug-in name (starts with +) will then show up in ShortcutMe Functions drop down list, the list that is available when you create a shortcut in ShortcutMe.

Downloadable Plug-in List

+IdentitySwitcher, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6+) This plug-in function switches to one of the Identity Restrictions settings in BB Options. Identity Restriction is used to block or allow your identity to be revealed to the person you are calling.

+Bluetooth_ON (Depricated. Use TurnBtOn macro instead), (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6+) This plug-in function turns on Bluetooth.

+Bluetooth_OFF (Depricated. Use TurnBtOff macro instead), (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6+) This plug-in function turns off Bluetooth.

+Take3PicturesFor99xx, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6+, BB Models: 9900,9930, 9980) This plug-in will take 3 pictures quickly one after the other.

+SetNapAlarm, (Min Requirements: BBOS_7+, SCM6.1.1.99+) Sets device alarm based on user selection.

+SearchForBtDevices, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6.0+) Searches for Bluetooth devices in proximity

+Wifi_Off_BT_Off_PhoneCallOnly, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6.0+) This plugin will turn Wifi and Bluetooth Off and set Profile to PhoneCallOnly. Use this as a new Bedside Mode?

+PlayBookBridge_On, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6.0+) This plugin will turn on Bluetooth and enable BlackBerry Bridge. Useful when you want to connect your BlackBerry to your PlayBook.

+PlayBookBridge_Off, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6.2.6.0+, and +Blueooth_Off plugin) This plugin will turn off Bluetooth and disable BlackBerry Bridge. Useful when you want to disconnect your BlackBerry fromyour PlayBook.

+Brigde_Bt_Wifi_On, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6.0+) This plugin will turn on Bluetooth and Wifi, and enable BlackBerry Bridge.

+Brigde_Bt_Wifi_Off, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6.0+) This plugin will turn off Bluetooth and Wifi, and disable BlackBerry Bridge.

+BacklightMax, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6.1+) This plugin will change the backlight brightness to %100

+BacklightMin, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6.1+) This plugin will change the backlight brightness to the minimum (%10)


+WashMachineTimer, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6.2.2.100+)This plugin will show a list of preset number of minutes the count down timer can be set to. After user selects one, the BB's Alarm will be set to expire that many minutes later.
This plugin is created so the user can put an NFC tag on the washer machine. Tapping that tag should set the Alarm to remind user about taking the clean cloths out of the washer machine.


+StopMediaPlayer, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6.2.3.4+) This plugin will hit the stop button on the Media Player if something is played on the Media Player


+LaunchAShortcutLaterOn, (Min Requirements: BBOS_5+, SCM6.2.3.3+) This plugin will first ask how many minutes later it should launch a shortcut and then it will schedule to launch that shortcut based on user input.


+SendBbmMessage, (Min Requirements: BBOS_6+, SCM6.2.3.7+) This plugin will show a list of preset messages. After user selects one, the selected message will be sent to the contact person specified in the parameter of the shortcut this plugin is used in.

+SetDeltaAlarm, (Min Requirements: BBOS_7+, SCM6.1.1.99+) This plug-in will first show options for setting the device alarm manually or to pre-set values of 60, 30, 10, or user entered minutes. Then based on user's selection/input it will set or disable the device alarm.

Are you talking about Bluetooth_On, Bluetooth_Off plugins?

Explain what happens when you run those plugins. I can't help much if it is only explained as "doesn't work".

Those plugins are depricated, you can use TurnBtOn and TurnBtOff macros instead.
