obviously this app needs to have your location so you gotta allow the settings to know your location, but im with verizon and i dont have any verizon navigator/gps plan or anything like that.. will i catch any charges from verizon using this program? i tried searching couldnt find anything

As long as you have unlimited data and aren't subscribed to VZ Navigator, then no you shouldn't be charged. VZW didn't disable the GPS on the Tour like they did with the Curve and other BB's. So feel free to use Google Maps, BB Maps, or whatever other program you may have. GPS is a free service and it's nice that Verizon finally stopped crippling it in their devices.

Remember to go into Options -> Advanced Options -> GPS -> GPS Services switched to Location On.

By default only E911 services will be enabled with GPS, you need to turn on the location aware feature through the above mentioned menu tree.
