I have a Curve 8310 with AT&T, and I recently updated my OS to v. 4.5.081 (Platform 2.7.0.78) about 2 weeks ago. Also installed the Chinese PinYin input support. Ever since the OS upgrade, I noticed that every time I get a new message in GoogleTalk when my phone is locked, the message bubble/icon in the top bar of the screen disappears when I unlock my phone. And since I have the GoolgleTalk icon on my homescreen as well, the icon used to look like a textbubble with lines in it (even after I unlock my phone) now just says "Talk" in the bubble as if I've never received the new message.

I've tried doing the battery pull, uninstalling & reinstalling GoogleTalk, so now the application is version 2.1.37.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

(This sort of reminded me of the calendar entries that used to pop up whenever my phone's locked & disappears when I unlock it...except those stopped happening after a battery pull)
