So I have just gotten my Bold and I use Google Sync because I also am coming from an Android device. All numbers are in a xxx-xxx-xxxx format.

This causes my SMS inbox to NOT recognize my contacts and just shows their numbers as +1xxx-xxx-xxxx when they text me first (not when we already have an open thread that I had already started)

The only way to overcome this is by manually removing the dashes from each contact. I dont want to do this because I use Google for everything and the format is convenient for me. Whats the point of Google Sync if it does such a thing?

This is making me want to pull my hair out. Please help
