I recently switched back to my BB from a Droid X, and wanted to take advantage of Google's contact and calendar syncing on my BB. I installed the app, and ran the sync but it made duplicate contacts for like 50 of my contacts, sometimes up to 10 duplicates of the same contact!
It is driving me mad. Anyone know what is going on?
Google Sync requires something to be the "Master" in both Contacts and Calendar. That means if you have contacts or calendar entries on your BB and in Gmail you will end up with duplicates. The key is to start with one or the other and make it as accurate as possible before you sync and clear the entries from the other side. It's easy to clear the calendar and contacts on either the BB or Gmail.
