I have been experimenting with the native feeds reader in Opera Mini (which I have used exclusively to this point) and Google Reader. I started messing with Google as an alternative.

    Here's my thoughts...

I think Google Reader does a good job as a RSS reader. The only gripe I have is that it does not save read articles. Once you read it, it goes away from the list. I know most people want read articles to simply go away but sometimes I would like to re-read an article or be able to reference it later from the reader. Opera Mini's reader does this well. Also, when I log into Google Reader from my laptop, the prior read articles remain so this must be a thing with the mobile version.

I have tried various readers in the past and I'm down to these two. The only reader I haven't tried is the new ARR app. I just thought I would share my thoughts on the subject.

If Google fixed the issue I mentioned above for mobile access, I would make that my new reader.
