Not sure if this has been posted yet or perhaps a lot of people don't know...

While messing around I discovered a web launcher app for Google+ in Blackberry App World. It takes you directly to the mobile site.. seems to work pretty nicely on my 9930. The icon looks cool on my home screen next to my facebook, Twitter and Foursquare icons.

Now when will we see a real Google+ app, if at all, that is the BIG question??

You wouldn't believe how long it took me to convince RIM to let me use the google+ icon for it.

Says "not available" for my 9700 device. Only OS7 maybe?

From what I understand the mobile site only works with webkit browser.
Let me know if I'm wrong.

Thats a shame. Well only for the time being as I know myself. Ill end up back with a top of the line BB lol. I just switched back from Android. I can never stay on one platform forever, but I really missed the typing on the BB lol. But I dived into Google+ when it was in Beta. And to know there is no app for BB is kind of ehhh. But thank you for the info.

Actually, I can get mobile google + to work on my 8530. It limits you to just posting, and reading, and the java location doesn't work, so it does work w/out Web-Kit, just probably not optimally.

Can you try downloading this and let me know if it works on your BB?

If it does I'll include OS5 devices in the downloadable devices.

Well, it took me to the login page, and I was able to enter my credentials, and it logged me in, but after my BB thought about it for a while, all that loaded was just a blank page. Looks like Google may have changed something on their end so it only works w/WebKit?

Actually, scratch all that above. When accessing the google + login page regularly [from BB web browser (]the Google+ project, then clicking on Googles "Web App" button, you go to the following login url:

    https://accounts.google.com/ServiceL...&ltmpl=mobilex

When going through your app, you get sent to the following url:

    https://accounts.google.com/ServiceL...&ltmpl=mobilex

So, I think if you changed your url to the one I have listed above, it will work. Let me know if you need me to check it again. Hope this helps! Thanks for providing this!

Ok. So what's going in is the launcher sends you to the webkit-only version (forces you to use it actually, because using the regular url tried to send you to the featureless mobile site). I'll make a version for the site you gave for OS5.

    Update: OS5 version: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9610464/SCrA...cy/Google%.jad

The web app from BB seems to work ok on my Curve 9300 3G, I've browsed and posted and relplied to a post but not tried to post any pics or anything.

Will keep an eye ion this thread to see if there are any new developments...

Basically, SCrid2000's app is just a Web Launcher to the google + login mobile site for BB using OS5. It isn't an actual google + app. I've tried it out, it works like a charm.

Thanks for this. Makes using Google+ a lot more attractive for me. The only thing I really would want an actual app for is push notifications and built-in Google Chat.
