I installed Google maps on mine, works great. It is the only navigation program I use.

Are you having problems installing it?

Unable to install on my AT&T 9700. During attempted install from m.google.com/maps I get the message, Unable to install on 9700, use the web version. Isn't there a Google Maps App for BB. Please help with install. Thanks.

yup, works great for me. Infinitely better than the BBerry Maps app. Although, even if I did want to use th Bberry Maps app, I'm not sure how I would find it. It's really a pain to find (on both the 9000 and 9700 on AT&T). I often had to find some really odd way to get the app started. Anyone else feel the same way?

That has worked for me as well.

Go to this link from your BB and see if that works.

I can't imagine it would make a difference, but here are the steps I use (only because I did not know there was any other way).

    1. Go to maps.google.com from the BB browser
    2. Click under the search box where it says "download Google Maps"
    3. On the next screen click "Install now".

    Best of luck

Edit - left my laptop and did not refresh the page, glad to see that you got it working

To all others who have the Bold 9700 with AT&T and have tried to download google maps - I was frustrated with everyone saying to just visit m.google.com/maps because it kept giving me the following message:

"Sorry, the Google Maps application does not work on your 9700. However, you can access Google Maps on the go by using the web version."

I tell ya - I was getting pretty ticked off that everyone was saying "it worked for me!" blah, blah, blah. Well I finally figured out how to get around it. It has to do with the settings of whatever browser you are using on your 9700. Browsers like Opera did not work to download it.

Here is what I did to finally get it to work:

    1. Open the normal Blackberry Browser on your 9700
    2. With the Browser screen open, click on the Blackberry button (the one to the left of the track mouse) and select "Options"
    3. Select "Browser Configuration"
    4. Under the first option "Browser" change it to "Internet Browser"
    5. In the "Browser Identification" drop down box select option "Internet Explorer". (You will get a warning in red font but IGNORE it)
    6. Go back to your browser screen and go to the following link: Google Maps or type in http: //m.google. com/maps?dc=gorganic (<--remove the spaces i put in first!)
    7. You should now see the "Install Now" link to click on and install Google Maps

    At last!

Good luck! Hope this helps. (I know that no other posts anywhere else seemed to get me there...pfft)
