How on Google maps can I pin point or set a favorite place? I want to use google for it because it's a walking trail and bb maps doesn't show this trail. I want to be able to set a point I walk to so I can see how far I get each time. Any way to do this?
not that I am aware of in GM, but I recently used an app that lets you return to your car (or whatever you want, obviously). I wish I could remember which app it was!! I tried it out, and while the accuracy wasn't perfect it was kinda interesting. Maybe Poynt?? someone here should know.
I know folks have discussed "favorites" in Googlemaps but I have not played with that feature.
If you want to log the entire walk or just some points along it, gpslogger (further discussed in the gps subforum) can do that and it is freeware and works well. The track it creates can be shown on Googleearth.
