    I'll be in Korea and Japan in a couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone knew if google maps (GPS specifically) worked there.

    i'm not sure about korea and japan but i know that the accuracy of their mapping in the philippines is not up to par as it is here in the united states. ah well.

    thanks for the reply. if it worked in the PI, i'm sure it will work in Seoul and Tokyo as well. hopefully the GPS isn't TOO off when I'm there.

    Works in Shanghai and across Taiwan. Accuracy is off and for some reason the maps changed from English to Chinese about a month ago.

    i'm going to guess it's a bigger issue about google maps being able to triangulate your location. hopefully it works out for you!
