    why does Google calendar need my cell phone #. and what the differences between outlook and Google calenders. why one over the other. do Google chrg. for using there calender.?

    Outlook it MS Outlook on your PC. Google is online. Its free to use.

    Did you read there help yet? I really don't know but I've been looking into it. Maybe it it sends you text messages to remind you of any appointments.

    Dunno. Try reading their Terms of Service. They say your carrier might charge for text messages, well, because they just might.
