Error occured for one of our Blackberry users with the new storm, so we wiped the handheld and installed the Gmail app first before adding the Blackberry Enterprise account.

    Backup Blackberry

1: on Home screen choose Options
    2: Security Options
    3: Click the Menu button
    4: Select Wipe Handheld

When the phone loads again browse to the following site to download the app

    5. browse to m.google.com/mail.
    6. Click on Install Now
    7. Enter Gmail Account Username and Password
    8. Launch application.

To add your work email added again, speak to your BES administrator.

Why don't you set up GMail to work via IMAP on your device and not use the GMail app at all?

I installed the Gmail app and I didn't get this error. I think the app is okay, however it doesn't show mail in it's native HTML format. Other than that I think that the app is okay.

    app works now.

in terms of what is different:
-not full true IMAP support over BIS
-inboxes are not the same on device/online. ie. all email in my inbox pre-setting up storm are not on my storm
-if i delete message via storm, it will update online instantly...does not do this the other way around when it should

    ideas?
