Filescout looks like the best followed closely by File Manager Pro, but they're both paid apps. What is the best free alternative. Don't like the Filescout Lite version, the features are pretty pathetic, even for a lite version.

App world has BeamExplorer File Manager, it's free with good ratings. Downside is that it doesn't open PDFs. There is a BeamExplorer PDF reader for 9.99 though!

So, what's the best all rounder that is also for free?

I use Beam Explorer and have Docs to Go premium for PDF.

I just can shake my head - copy & move multiple files - zip & unzip - integrated text viewer - quick filter & sort options... sure that are pathetic features...
