Foursquare Help !
Hello,
I'm new to Foursquare.. I downloaded the application.. version 5.5 from App World.. but cannot check in.. tried with Wi-Fi too.. still the same result.
It shows an error, which says Invalid Geo Coordinates or something..
When i checked the review page for the application, many users are complaining about the same. Says its a problem with the new version..
I cant find any download links for old version of the application.. If anyone could kindly provide me an older version of this application, it would be a great help !
or telling a solution to this problem will also work for me, heh.
Thanks in advance

In my opinion Foursquare is junk on our platform. At one time it wasn't too, too bad but has gotten worse as time goes by. I deleted it months ago. Got tired of it taking forever to find me only to have it say I wasn't where I was trying to check in at. Just my $.02 though. Maybe you'll get it working before long. Good luck with it.

read many reviews that this particular version, 5.5 is causing all the problems.. and there is no other way to downgrade other than a clean install of an older version

Downgrade Foursquare
4S Version 5.5 is crap. It always hangs when there are slightest issues with GPS, causing an Exception or freeze the entire device.
I've just went down to 3.8.1
How did I do: 4S is hosting thier stuff on http://clientbuilds.foursquare.s3.am...rry/beta/x.x.x whereas x.x.x is an internal (!) Version Id.
I've just crawled that directory with 4-5.0-9.0-9 and have looked for FourSquare.jad which is the installation starter for all BBs.
I've found:
4.2.1-BB3.1.6/FourSquare.jad
4.3.0-BB3.8.1/FourSquare.jad
4.7.0-BB3.8.1/FourSquare.jad
Once you download from there, be sure that all the other files get downloaded as well, for instance: FourSquare-1.cod FourSquare-12.cod FourSquare-15.cod FourSquare-18.cod FourSquare-20.cod FourSquare-23.cod FourSquare-4.cod FourSquare-7.cod FourSquare.cod FoursquareBBMPlugin.cod
FourSquare-10.cod FourSquare-13.cod FourSquare-16.cod FourSquare-19.cod FourSquare-21.cod FourSquare-24.cod FourSquare-5.cod FourSquare-8.cod FourSquare.jad FourSquare-11.cod FourSquare-14.cod FourSquare-17.cod FourSquare-2.cod FourSquare-22.cod FourSquare-3.cod FourSquare-6.cod FourSquare-9.cod FoursquareBBMCommon.cod
Just opne the .jad file with notepad (its plain text) and peak in to find out which modules need to be downloaded.
Put all the stuff on a local resource and direct your BB browser there and start downloading the FourSquare.jad file.
I'm now on 3.8.1 and this works for me.
Have fun

I didn't get it too. I enter into this address http://clientbuilds.foursquare.s3.am...FourSquare.jad, and see lots of plain text, but don't know what to do next.
The upgrade to 5.8 was useless too! I have an 8520 and everything went just fine until the 5.5 upgrade!
