I've seen a few apps using the screen light. It is not bright enough for me. I find myself opening the camera and using the led. Any app out there to directly use the camera light?
Just do what I do, set the light to on in the video camera options then set a convenience button (I use my left side on) to activate the video camera. Once setup, all you gotta do is hit the button and instant flashlight, very bright.
I know this is not groundbreaking, but along the lines of what elpasobob says, if you have quicklaunch, you can add the video camera to QL, and then edit the name to "Flashlight" - and voila.
