Does anyone know how to create apps for the Storm? I would like a simple app that you could use as a flashlight. I use my camera flash as a flashlight all the time but it only stays on for a few seconds. It would be cool if someone could create an app that would keep it on as long as you wanted it on. Maybe a neat little touch switch you could flip on and off. Anyone interested in creating one? Is it possible?

There was quite a bit of discussion about this app when the phone first came out. Should be several threads about it. After doing a quick search I found this one:

This should help you get started.

The easiest I found is to turn your flash on all the time for your video camera.

Launch or video camera > options > video light on.

This is the best and easiest way to get a "Real" light.

I asked this same question earlier. A creator of a flashlight app (100% white screen) said the RIM prevents developers form writing software to access the camera light.
