I have been having an issue with facebook recently. Even though on initial install I had it download all of my friends and it did so completely, whenever I go to send a message/write on someones wall/pull up my friends list, it says 99% Updating list... and it just sits there, and while it's "updating" the application then goes slow and lags, but meanwhile it just sits at 99% updating list. I also believe it is wasting battery power in the background when doing this.

Has anyone else experienced this and figured out how to get it to stop doing this?

Facebook in general has been unreliable as of late. It's not an issue with your device or Facebook App. It's at Facebook's end.

A lot of people have been having issues visiting Facebook on their PC's lately as well.

Yes, this is true. I hope they come out with a new version soon as the lag created by it being stuck at 99% is unacceptable.
