    Hi guys,

    Only had my Blackberry for a couple of days so apologies for the rubbish question...

    I've just downloaded the Facebook v1.6 app for my Bold and i go to my Download folder and click on the Facebook icon and enter my email and password - but as i click Login it displays, "Could not connect because a data service is not available. Pleasey try again later..."

    I have no idea what the data service is.

    Again - sorry if this is a pretty routine question.

    Thats not always true, i had the same problem on mine and FB wouldnt work until i did a battery pull.

    Not always true, your right. But the majority of the time it's accurate.

    A data plan is the blood-line of the blackberry. It allows for Web, Push email, GPS, Apps... Call your carrier
