I just installed the stand alone Facebook Messenger app and took a quick peek through the settings. I noticed that there's an option to have it keep a persistent connection. Does that mean the app doesn't use BB push notifications? Or will it use push when its turned off? Anyone know anything about this? --Thanks.
I also just saw this option. Doesn't seem to be true push, so very battery consuming. Uninstalled it.
Though I have to say that notifications are much more reliable through FB messenger than through FB app. Wish FB app push notifications would just work right ...
