So, I was getting notifications last night and now they've stopped and I'm only getting the e-mail sent to my blackberry. Is this a problem with my blackberry torch or is it this app??? This new update has been HORRIBLE!

I've been having the same problem... I don't know what else to do to try to fix it! I hope the RIM people launch a new upgrade soon!
If by any chance you figure out how to fix the problem, please let me know!

Sure will! I have a feeling that the app is the problem! It's getting really annoying. Notifications come through and then they stop and the e-mail just comes in the bb. I just don't get it anymore. I haven't done ANYTHING online nor on my bb.

im having the same issue, but mine usually stops giving me notifications at midnight and don't return till 8 am.. idk why.

Do you have the mobile notification settings set to not send anything during that time? That's the only thing I can think of.

Facebook app 1.8 wasn't working for me from monday afternoon to last night, then it kicked in to gear and is now functioning perfectly.

Make sure you have ticked the "Facebook Notifications" option in the blackberry app, this will untick several of the notification options in your account settings online.

the remaining ticked notifications cannot be dealt with via the app anyway so you will receive an email version for these from now on unless you select the "Turn off all Facebook Email notifications" in the facebook app options.

i noticed that when i cleared my "pushed content" in the browser ( which was at 30 MB since i updated to 1.8) the app ran smoother and i received my notifications.
