The icon has recently disappeared from that menu. Any idea on how I can get it to stay there permanently? Trivial, but i got used to it being there.

I did recently update to 1.7.0.22 and I deleted 1.6 from my Tour. Since then I've noticed that Facebook is not longer in the Applications Permissions in the Security options. I did search the forum for that issue, but i never did see how to get it back in there. Does it not need to be in there? Could it have disappeared because I deleted 1.6?

No, it doesn't need to be there. The icons listed in the application switcher are applications that are running in the backround. Sometimes when you exit the Facebook app, it will show as listed in the application switcher, but it will disappear after a minute...

if you want it in the apps menu,just hit the end key when you're done and it should stay there,if you hit menu then close it will disappear
