After upgrading to the official 1.8 my facebook now sends me an email and also notifies me on the notification panel. How do I turn the email off but still receive the notifications?
You can turn the e-mail off from your Facebook notification settings on the Facebook website. Currently there are some issues with the FB notifications, please follow this thread for updates: http://forums.crackberry.com/showthr...=1#post5491180
This is likely just a glitch with the app. The way it works, I believe if you disable the email notification, then you won't receive the notification in the app, either. That's why the app only works when you have the email address you use for Facebook associated with your BB.
When I upgraded FB to 1.8, I had the same problem until I did my first reboot. After that, everything was fine.
