im using the newest facebook app (1.7.0.18) on OS 4.7.whatever verizon has out and the lag when using it is unbelievable....typing is even delayed and it takes forever for things to load on it....also when i sent private messages to other people they dont even end up getting them!

anyone have similar issues that possibly overcame them?

I've got significant lag on the new FB app as well. My solution has just been to not use FB. It's a shame that there are so many poorly written apps out there.

Same issues here as well. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, etc. and it still seems to run very slow especially while loading. The 1.6 facebook app ran much better for me, however I can't seem to find a way to downgrade.

also having lag issues with the fb app. getting the notifications that someone posted a comment a good 15 min later.. frustrating - i end up just going to the mobile site so i can keep the convo going without the lag.

Uninstall/reinstall didn't do anything.

I am not getting any notifications at all anymore too! Not sure what is going on, I didn't change anything.

Sometimes I try to debug and do a soft reset. Often times Facebook will start working miraculously again. The new version needs to come out quick.

The FB app is buggy right now. It just keeps locking up. And the typing part that was mentioned above... Driving me nuts.

I think that Facebook app period is crappy. Even when u try to pull ur friends list up it takes a while. SMH They need a update asap.

I go to Facebook via SocialScope and it is wonderful. I have Twitter and Facebook thru SocialScope and never have a problem

welcome to the fb app for blackberry. A lot of people don't even bother with it.

Facebook 1.8 is so many times better in terms of performance. blackberry.com/beta to apply for bb beta zone.

But in 1.7 facebook doesn't sync my calendars, it did before i wiped my phone :\
