Everytime I recieve a new notification on my FB, the app pops open automatically whether I'm using my BB or it's on standby.

I've looked through the settings but I can't figure out how to make it stay closed until I actually go to open it to view the notifications.

I know there are tons of FB questions, but I couldn't really find the answers to my issue.

Funny because mine just did that to me for a video notification lol. I haven't come across an answer yet so far. Mine also doesn't always pop up either. There's no consistency to it either; it's random.

Yeah, now that it's been mentioned...it does it randomly on mine too.

Possibly a bug with the newest updates?

Did you upgrade to 1.6.0.21? This only started happening after updating the app to that version.

my facebook never runs in bg, not much point imo..

I haven't had this happen to me with notifications since updating to the latest version a week ago. I'm kind of glad too since I get a bunch of notifications throughout the day and it would get annoying if everytime I went to do something, I find the app open.

I never leave mine running in the background; I always close it using Menu > Close.

One thing I did notice is that the few times it has done it my phone was either in standby mode or locked when I received the notification, and after unlocking/turning off standby the app would open on its own.

I just received my last month's bill, I got charged roaming data because I was in the states and thanks to FB popping up by itself, I got charged roaming even though I didn't open the app myself!

Not impressed!!!
