This might be more Facebook the website than Facebook application issues. Anyway, I downloaded the Facebook application and had been really enjoying it and now I'm not getting notifications on time.
The past couple of days I'll get some notifications telling me I'll have a message from one person but not the other... and then the other notification will show up 11 hours later! Today I logged into my Facebook from my computer to see I have had an email from a friend waiting for me for the past few hours but the Facebook application hasn't told me anything.
On that note, when I log into my gmail account, it doesn't show that I have a message or anything, so could it be a Facebook problem?
that might have been the problem sometimes your phone gets stuck on a tower that doesn' t have a strong signal and when you pull your battery it resets your connection to the network
Do you think it would help if I changed where my Facebook notifications got sent to? Right now it's sent to my gmail account but maybe if I sent it to my blackberry email account...?
I'm having a hard time figuring out what exactly "low" memory is... when I go to status it says File Free: and then XXXXXXXX (whatever) bytes. How many should be free?
what is the exact number under your memory ? and it might come quicker if you have it linked to your bb email account. mine is and i get my notifications almost immediately
ya memory seems to be an issue with the 8130 and that is a low number i have an 8100 and i have 36 mb of free space look at the link in my signature to see if you can free up anymore space
I have the same issue with facebook. It is not the app it is the website. Facebook if it is being used at peak times will forget to send out the email that goes with the initial action on facebook and since the app works off the email that facebook sends out it isn't till some hours later that you actually recieve the email. Thats why if I am expecting a immediate response I will just check the mobile website for facebook.

I was working on the link a few days ago but it made me nervous, I wasn't sure if I was doing it right (mainly step number 4, editing the alx stuff).
hey, what usually works for me is closing the application. sometime when its open and running for awhile, that's when it tends to stop receiving notification. jus go to menu and close, and it's kind of a soft reboot without having to pull the battery. try that next time!
