If there is one thing that makes me want an iphone it is this bloody facebook!

Not only does it not allow you to do simple things like comment on somebodies status but over recent weeks it seems to pick and choose when it wants to notify me of messages received, logged onto the proper version only to see 10 messages I was not aware of.

Anybody else having similar problems?

The current Facebook app seems to have limited functions. Anyway, I heard that a new version of FB app will be released early new year. Hopefully, it will address the ongoing issues.

The Facebook app has one useful feature: it gives you a context menu selection for posting pictures and videos directly to your facebook page.

Other than that, it is useless when compared to the mobile site; I agree.

i have a question regarding FB and the crackberry pin app. (sorry for the thread steal)

When i got the the site blackberry exchange pin (or whatever it is) on my computer, i put in my pin, and it doesnt change my bb device it just says default blackberry and i forget what the last thing is, but when i hit submit, it just goes back to the same page.

Does anyone use this app?

It might not be as good as the iPhone or the mobile site, but it does what I need it to do.

It's great to update your status on the go.

I also like the fact that you can tag your photos and upload them.

Off topic, FB just got an upgrade on the itouch/ iphone. You can even use the chat feature. It's awesome!!

Agreed. It works great on the wife's iPhone, so I have hope for this app.

Some basic functionality as mentioned above, plus access to the mobile site is available from the menu key in the app without having to go into browser first. Saves a little time.
