Hey everyone, first time poster here! I just recently purchased a Curve 8900 for Tmobile and am in love with this thing!! The only complaint I have is the internet!! I'm trying to download the slacker radio app. and I keep getting a download error about a 1/4 of the way through : 907 COD Local connection timed out after ~ 120000 Anyone know why this is happening? I've tried searching before starting a thread but can't find the answer anywhere. thanks.

well for me slacker only slowed my phone down and i deleted it after a few days of trying to like it.

Most times its best to attach to a Wifi when downloading install files... it really does help reduce any time out errors.

Get to a location with good signal to get the most out of your EDGE downloading. If not, switch wifi on.

Thanks for all the quick replies everyone! I am currently downloading it while on Wifi... Still getting the same error message.


Edit: Just turned the phone off, tried it again and voila! Thanks for the replies though. I like this forum already!!

Try downloading opera mini and see if that works. If you don't want to download a alternate browser, I suggest you do a battery pull, It fixes majority of the problem and resets the phone.
