Anyone know a free app that can be used via WIFI to get email to ur berry, other than going in with the browser and checking it? I've seen a nokia that did it.

If you have a BIS plan then you get push email over wifi.

Yea I do have it. The reason I was wondering is because I just got the 9780 Bold, and have the Bold 9700. I would like to use the old one for some things without switching out my sim card. :/ (Kind of like the ipod touch can do without calling feature)

Looks like you need a sim card regardless

The problem is the WIFI protocol on a BB is directly linked to BIS and BES which is why you cant use wifi on a BB without a sim card, or with a sim card that doesnt have some sort of data plan.
