    When the battery is too low then it is time to charge the device. It is an electronic device, so it needs power to operate.

    The trick is to go to the "Wireless Update" menu on your device, which effectively forces the antenna to come back on for that. It should stay on once you close the menu (don't do the update, just search for them).

    Or just charge the phone

    Yes... I would suggest you carry another battery or a charging cord... if you run your Lithium-Ion battery all the way down you will kill the battery. The shut off is a safety feature.
