My BB Browser refuses to download anything, I get Access not allowed, when I try to download anything.. so I need to install from desktop manager.

I'd try to figure out why your browser won't download things properly. Maybe try reinstalling your OS to fix that.

Cant you load the facebook app that you have and then menu- options and all the way on the bottom click check for updates? Thats how I did mine..
