Not sure if this is the right forum but for the docs to go app and the excel and powerpoint one
What exactly can be done with the basic one I know that you can't create files on your phone
But what features can you use on basic edition?

While you cannot create files on the phone, if you create a BLANK doc/sheet on your computer and transfer it to the BB, you can then edit it and save it with a different name - kind of like a template. Then edit the blank one again.
