What happens if you don't actually have a "Shared" folder under C:Program Files/Common Files/Research in Motion?
-------------
EDIT: Okay....don't know what happened, but somehow the new OS didn't actually install the first time I tried it. Odd...Nevermind though. Working fine now. (And I'm such an addict I just hit the spacebar twice on my laptop and was surprised when no period appeared)

Reason: Whoops factor
for those of you still having problems after the copy and paste trick I have a slightly different solution.
1) Uninstall all RIM software, old OSs, DM, ect. Make sure the folders in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files folder were deleted.
2) Run the 5.0 OS .exe and complete the install
3) Optional* Run Lyricidal's *new* Shrink-a-OS (he made a slight update today to fix a problem with the UK-English removal, so redownload it if you haven't).
4) Uninstall the RIM Internal Apps.
5) Run the Loader from the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader folder *Not from Shrink-a-OS* and *Not from DM, note that I DIDN'T reinstall the DM*
If the 5.0 OS is the only installed OS and you don't have the DM installed this should work.
