- I uninstalled Facebook yet the Facebook Calendar is still on my BB Storm Calendar.
Also, how can I remove the Default option for sending email and also remove the Default Calendar?
I have a gmail account and would prefer that to be my only email and Calendar.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Ive deleted the Facebook App, and yet the facebook calendar is still there, theres no events saved on it, its just annoying me to have it there, as I only want one calendar and one email account set on my phone!
Any help would be much appreciated!07-06-09 02:11 PMLike 0 - Having same problem. I need to delete my "Default" calendar because when I sync with Outlook it only syncs one calendar where it used to sync all of them. I think this may be happening because I changed my default calendar from facebook to an email account. Now when I try to change it back it still doesnt work. Facebook seems to have pulled a fast one on me...
Is there anyway to truly make my email account the default calendar? I've tried Options->Advanced->Default Services but that doesn't seem to do the trick. Please help07-08-09 04:03 PMLike 0 - I too am having the exact same problem!

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com07-08-09 06:50 PMLike 0 - Ok, so I was able to get all my calendar appointments back on outlook and my storm by deleting all CICAL service books from Options->Advanced->Service Books. Because i had no email accnts, this forced all appointments on my calendar to the default calendar. To get the appts back on outlook, I changed the sync options to a one way sync from the device to outlook. So all is well in the world. Then, as if facebook hasn't burned me enough, it resends the CICAL file to me and the next time I sync, everything goes haywire again.
The good news is I can restore everything to normal. Bad news, I can't stop FB from resending the calendar service book. This is about to put an end to an app I've grown to love07-14-09 02:40 PMLike 0 - Ok, I've found a solution that works for me - Google Sync. Since FB keeps pushing back the CICAL on my phone, I've dealt with it by not syncing thru DM anymore but thru Google Sync. This is actually better for me now since I can keep my work calendar & BB sync'ed and have it available on my google account.
First I backed up everything. I deleted all my other calendars, wiped the BB calendar clean on DM by Backup->Advanced->select 'Calendar'-> click 'Clear'. With a blank calendar, I downloaded GS to my PC and let it index my outlook calendar with a 1-way sync. Then I downloaded the GS app and sync'ed it. Boom - calendar & contacts sync'ed with BB and Outlook and now it will all happen magically whilst holstered. No more worrying about facebook calendar taking over my calendar. I just leave it on there now as my default calendar but it doesn't make a difference.
Just thought I'd share this as another option b/c u guys sounded as frustrated as I was.07-21-09 09:21 PMLike 0
