It installs on Vista, but I can't get the program to run. It comes up with a C: prompt screen really fast then the screen goes away, and then nothing. Lame.

ll I get is a 'Password Incorrect or Phone Not Connected. Please Restart Program'. Any suggestions? i unlocked my storm and have a tmobile chip in and i tryin to get the internet to work... can anyone help?

I'm having the same issue. The phone is a complete birck it has been deactivated by verizon(do they have a pw?) Any help would be awesome. I am running on vista and have done the run as admin still no luck.

I currently have CrackUtil and BBSAK v1.3 installed they both are not letting me connect to my device. My OS is 4.7

Same problem here on 9530 OS4.7. Maybe just not compatible with Storm. Has anyone got the app to work with 9530?

Hi,
After starting the program "Crackutil" and passing the password window, a new window pop up saying: "File access denied.". After this, the program gets blocked saying Retrieving OS Version... and there is nothing I can do to make the program work. What is happening?

when i run crackutil,it asks for a passwrod. I leave it in blank, asi it says there, and then an error message comes up saying it cant connect to my blackberry or the password is incorrect.. what i want is to install blackberry app world on mi curve 8900. I live in Honduras, where bb app is not supported.

I can't seem to find the files that I'm looking for when I retrieve file list on this program. I'm looking for sample contact pictures which are locked. I'd like to delete these files, but I just can't seem to find the file names on crackutil. (file name such as Alien.png - which is shown under media>explore>device memory>samples>contacts.

Can anyone tell me what to look for in the file list on crackutil so I may delete these unncessary files. ?

The fzip file is not there anymore, is there anyway that you can put it back on?

It's a file size of about 20KB, hardly worth any effort.

If you're talking about the link to CrackUtil, it's at the bottom of the first post. I just checked to make sure.

I downloaded CU set it a administrator like it says for Vista users. But when I try to open the program and it asks for the password it says password wrong or phone not connected. I tried cancel and ok when the password window comes up. I also have the phone attached so I know thats not it

I can't see what device you are using since I'm on wap, but CrackUtil has compatibility problems with some of the newer OS versions, and it is no longer supported by the original developer.

If you look in the CrackUtil help files, I think you'll find the Storm is listed as a supported device, but the password problem you're describing has been reported before. No one has found a reliable solution for it. Some people have reported trying to connect several times and getting CrackUtil to work occasionally.

The problem i have is that everytime i connect my phone to the BB DTM and it updates i lose my browser. I follow the instructions on an earlier post to repair it but it won't work without CU on my PC. When I try to use the option #2 without CU and I try to take the daemon file for the browser out it won't come off the phone so when i reload the books for At&t it doesnt fix the browser

If this isnt supported by the dev., then what would you recommend wipe an 8900 and reinstall the OS?

It isn't necessary to wipe your phone to install a new OS, but if you want to, you could try JL_Cmdr. I have used it in the past, but not on my Tour.

I'm almost positive this will also work, and has many nice features to it. Still like CrackUtil for my Pearl though.

I downloaded Crackutil and it doesn't give me the option to check Run as administrator mode... Also when I try to open Crackutil, wrong password/ device not attached appears. Any suggestions?
