hey again, my problem is that my storm has a blackscreen is not a broken display because sometimes work, then the screen shut down and the phone keeps working, any idea? i have do everything, change the firmware, erase it, any idea?

CrackUtil gets stuck trying to retrieve the OS. Fresh install, first time I have tried to use it. Is this a common problem? CAn it be fixed? The App loads but then just hangs...

sorry I shouldl add that it pop an alert saying file access denied before it freezes. I have to shut it down through Task Manager.

I am using Vista and have the latest update of RIM OS.

i just loaded the upgrade to my unlocked storm, and now my web browser is a hot mess. i had to redo the crackutil because it got deleted i guess when i upgraded through the DM. i have tmobile, i put in the wap.voicestream.com in the apn. i thought at first it could be tmobile, but ive never had a connection problem before. can someone please help me?..

I have a problem, So i hooked up my blackberry storm 9530 into my computer with the USB, im running it off windows XP SP3, and i install and run Crackutil with admin privlages, and i tried to run it with my blackberry and it said the password was wrong, so i put a password on it, and i tried it, and it said that the password was still wrong or that it wasn't connected, when Windows had already installed the drivers for the blackberry storm.

Any help as to what i can do to connect it and run it with CrackUtil?

You will almost certainly have to switch your data plan to a BlackBerry data plan with your carrier before you can get internet access. There is nothing you can so with CrackUtil to get around the data plan requirement.

I had this the same problem, and under Vista. Reading back in this thread I found suggestion to enter "0000" as a password. That got me into my phone.

The REMOVE IT POLICY on my BOLD resets the unit to factory settings

also I am on a BES and want to get rid of the firewall issues

As well my BES has been lost, how do I get my BES pushed back out?

How do I retain my BES and remove the IT policies?


I have done a restore but that didnt bring back my BES activations

You can't get your BES activation without contacting your BES admin and requesting it. It will come with an IT Policy. You can't have BES access without it. CrackUtil is not intended to be used to remove an IT Policy from a phone that is supposed to have one.

crackutil was working fine on my vista 32 bit until i loaded .151 now it gives a
'-' is not a valid floating point
error and then i/o exception error when i try to retrieve file listing. is it an os problem or some thing else
for muscle master and others ; if u ve dm running in back ground it will not let crack util work properly so exit dm and try.

You can't. BES has full control of your device.

I am having an issue with BB Messenger...I have files in the Java Folder that for whatever reason are not being recognized by the DM. I deleted BB Messenger from the OS by Shrinking the OS, now even after manually putting the files back into the Java Folder, DM is a no go for recognizing them. Hopefully, I can copy them from Java folder and put them onto the Storm with this utility and see whether the program will load on the phone....

and then i run the DM (is that correct?) and it was starting to installing stuff but it's just stuck at certain percentage. is it suppose to take a long time to reinstall?
