What does this program and others like it do that tethering through BB desk top doesn't ?
There must be something it does because there is no other logical explanation for paying 53 bucks for something that Desk Top does for free ?
I have tried reading around but was hoping someone here could explain the difference between tethering with "tether"app vs BlackBerry desk top manager.
Not everyone gets tethering through DM, I believe its carrier related if they allow or not, that's why people pay for the tethering app. A one time payment also beats paying an extra monthly fee to the carrier, for verizon I believe its an extra $15.

ahhhh see I knew there was a reason. So are you saying using this program also by-passes the carriers tethering rules ? For me it doesn't really matter, Telus no longer has unlimited data and I had to switch to a data/tether plan.
