    Hey fellow Canucks,
...just curious if anyone else has tried out the Canadian Tire App (in App World) and your initial thoughts and opinions.
I think its pretty good. Id give it 4.5 stars out of 5.

    Supported Devices:
    BlackBerry 8900 9000 9630 9700 9780 9800

By BlackBerry application standards, this applications is better than expected
-- it's a storefinder (GPS capable, finds nearest store)
-- it's a bar code scanner (take picture of barcode with camera)
    -- it's a price checker
-- it's a stock checker for the store you're headed to
-- you can view product reviews and specifications of the product you searched for / scanned / clicked on in advertisement /etc
    -- it's a coupon app too.

The only problem is it takes a few seconds to start up.
But it appears to be more than a "toy" app like most other brand-logo apps are...

OS 4.6.0 or higher, including OS 6
I believe it's only available via App World. Is that a problem?

It's actually a very good app!

I use it when browsing the store to see product reviews and price quickly... just scan the barcode and you're set. Better than trying to find that darn price scanner kiosk

Tell your friend we say thanks. Its an incredible app. Ask him to make one for home depot now. . Seriously he should start licensing it for other stores. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

A friend of mine showed it to me. It looks like an awesome APP.

I head to Canadian Tire Weekly. It would be good to know the stock and price of an item without having to hunt down a scanning machine in-store (Which are normally not plugged in or non-functional).

Unfortunately, I have a storm 9530, and this app isn't compatible with my device.
Hopefully, they make one that works with the storm very soon.

I've had it for a while and it is pretty good. Unfortunately I can' scan bar codes with my 9000 since it doesn't have an autofocus camera. I can key in the barcode numbers instead.

actually canadian tire came to his company and asked him to make the app for a sum of money
i believe home depot would need to do the same

Damnit this is so dumb! I had this running on my Dad's 9800 - of course it worked on his broken phone. Just bought him a 9810 today and it doesn't work?! The 9800 version WILL work - it's a matter of locating it. Lame!
