This might be a silly question, but having flunked math beginning in the 6th grade and not being the swiftest part of the stream.....wait for it....how do I do division on the calculator?!? There's no division symbol?!? What am I missing????

Why didn't they just use a conventional symbol ?

EDIT: The one I call conventional is called an Obelus, the other a slash. Maybe one has Latin origins.
