They are in the process of doing that. They are working on integration of the WebKit browser which should make many issues a thing of the past. I sure, however, that it will have its detractors.

I don't think rim at this point can over come the android push. I like the blackberry platform but android is way ahead of RIM so they better hurry up! I am waiting for the nexus one on VERIZON to come out then jumping ship.
