For instant messaging I'm using BeeJiveIM ... the latest beta. The two games I got were PacMan and Bejeweled .... don't waste your money on Tetris, I don't know what they were thinking when they made that thing, its terrible. Ummm.... Pandora, yeah.... I wish there was a Shazam I could use (thats the thing that listens to songs and tells you their names for you), but I couldn't find one that was for OS 5 or something.

I'm looking for a good alternative for Telenav that doesnt have a 10 dollar subscription for forever, but I don't know of any good alternatives. Do others give turn by turn directions via voice and use the GPS?

If anyone uses Netflix, the Movela Netflix app is aweseome. I use TwixTreme instead of the free version of Ubertwitter - there's no ads with Twixtreme. Also, the Crackberry launcher is a must have!

    BerryBuzz.... www.bellshare.com • View topic - BerryBuzz 2.1 for OS 5.0 and BBM 5.0

I would be lost without it...

I have other apps but if I could only keep 1 app it would have to be BerryBuzz...

Google Sync is a MUST have if you use Google as your contacts manager and calendar.

It does a two way sync on contacts and calendar events.

It would probably be more accurate to ask what apps to get for a Blackberry in general. With the possible exception of the Storm, applications are the same across the board for every Blackberry device, so long as you download the specific one intended for your device and operating system. Below, I've posted the apps on my phone. Everyone of them would be equally useful on the Bold. I've posted this elsewhere, and I figured you may find it useful.

Tunewiki allows you to read off the lyrics to songs stored on your phone in a karoeke-like format.
Dictionary.com for all those times that your friends make up new words and try to convince you that they are real. Really good for scrabble.
Viigo, because it allows you to feed your addiction by tracking Crackberry postings and Craigslist, check local weather, find movie theatres by your house, read e-books, subscribe to all kinds of feeds (it does too many things to list, including tracking packages).
Google voice for playing pranks on my friends and family with the new number and also for visual voice mail and international calling.
Amazon mobile for die-hard shoppers who shop even on the toilet seat and in conference rooms.
Poynt for movie previews (sorry, no porn as of yet despite many inquiries), business look-ups (too many functions to count).
Tripcase for a travel app; allows you to input data on your flight and post updates where your contacts can see them.
Shazam because it can identify any song playing in the background, and give you the name of the song and the artist, as well as the option to purchase the song.
Weatherbug because it displays local temperatures right on the screen.
itookthisonmyphone because it allows you to take pictures and upload it instantly to their website or any website you choose, including Facebook, Picasa and Shuttlefly.
Tetherberry for connecting to the internet with your device on your computer, where all else fails. This will leave a sizeable hole in your wallet.
Voxofone for international calling right on the handset
Edocrab for scanning barcodes and checking prices online to see if you are being scammed by the local retail store. Works with your 3.2 Megapixel camera.
Video flashlight for finding your girlfriend's bra in the dark, checking for an intruder, or other equally nocturnal activities where you find yourself without a flashlight.
Worldmate for serious travellers, and those snooty people that fly first class and book rooms at the Hilton. Less fun than tripcase, but far more useful. Has currency converter, destination weather forecasts, etc.
Slacker Radio Because not only can you listen to customized radio stations; you can also cache them on your memory card.
Myspace and Facebook, because man is supposedly a social animal, and Facebook integrates your friend's birthdays and pictures to your address book.
Telenav GPS, because women can't follow directions. Jk, of course. Well, kind of; my girlfriend who is watching me post this says there's no dinner for me tonight for making that remark.
Opera Mini, because RIM's nativeBlackberry Browser is patently ridiculous.
Google Mobile, because Google is taking over the new world order: you can sync contacts, download google maps, etc.

Blackberry App World, because you can download most of the aforementioned applications from there.

    Hey Tripp,

Have you installed ProfilerPro on the 9700 already? I'm wondering if your registration code sicks. After a battery pull, I went back to ProfilerPro-->Options-->Registration, and the code disappeared. Seems like after a reboot the code always disappears.

I've been talking to ToySoft, but they can't figure it out. Might be some compatibility issue as they put it.

    BTW, I'm running OS 5.0.0.296 (AT&T default)
