Like the title says... Is it free? I downloaded it for free but am hesitant to use the gps portion. I have an unlimited data plan but will I get charged more for using it in gps directions?

I prefer using google maps Google Maps ,which is also free, because of the quick and easy search around me function and the traffic info

the gps apps that you need to pay are them develloped by your services provider, or other companies... All Blackberry branded apps are totally free...

Check out google maps. I deleted bb maps because it lagged way too much.

Yes, that's correct but your carrier AT&T is been famous for blocking it so they can suck more money out of you while using Telenav perhaps....................
