Research In Motion appears to be working on a ‘BlackBerry Device Analyzer’ app, which we’ll see introduced in BlackBerry OS 7.1. The Device Analyzer app was found in the recent Bold 9900 OS 7.1.0.150 build. Test interfaces include:

    • Network signal
    • Email connectivity
    • Battery status information
    • Hardware testing
    • WiFi connectivity

Note : Support OS 7 devices only

No icon, it's added into your Options submenus.
Open the Options app and type "ana" on your keyboard and it will be right there.

Btw, the version number for the copy I have is 7.1.0.150.
Here's the "main page" for the app:

Do you know if this App will work on OS 7 devices that are running an OS version other than 7.1?

Just for grins I grabbed the CODs for this one from 7.1.0.163, whipped up a jad, and tried installing it on my latest OS6 hybrid (Roche). Not surprisingly, it didn't work. Just wanted to confirm that fact though.

He just put one out today to fix it. I was having the same issue with the 910 error but the OTA he did today worked. I actually saw the OTA on his twitter page. @rr_yy. Here's the link http://rroyy.com/ota/BlackBerry_Device_Analyzer_v1.0.0.77_OS7

Sorry about tht. I was able to download using tht link yesterday and all went good. Tht link though is only for OS7 or 7.1. Maybe check his website for the 9700. His website is rroyy.com or hit him up on twitter @rr_yy. He might be able to send u a working link. Good luck with getting it downloaded.

I've been testing my battery with this and the Mobile Network Usage figure is close to 100%.

Does anyone know if that relates to How much I'm connected to the network or how often I'm polling data ?

    Thanks
