I just got a blackberry (which is the Blackberry Curve 9360) and this is what my plans consists of:
-social networking
-bbm and email
-text

I have the wifi set up to connect to my home internet for now. But without a data plan, will i still be able to access Blackberry App World free of charge? I don't want surprise charges to pop up unexpectedly in my bill because of it.

I can't speak for other programs, but you can use App World via wifi if you have a radio signal. The phone does't require activation but you will have to associate the device's PIN with your App World account.

bbm does not work on wifi. Facebook , twitter , web browsing, and appworld works though. never tried email...

same problem.. i m tired to connect facebook, msn, yahoo on blackberry using wifi but its not connecting. even app world is also not opening..

my daughter bbm's me from her work through wifi, she has no data or phone service as it's below ground
