I just upgraded to the new official .743. As usual, it was nowhere to be found just like after many of my last few upgrades. I went to download it again, and got this .35 update. It all looks the same, but it fixed the issue I was having that I could not read reviews while on UMA WiFi. Glad it's back.
Since when is App World a third party app? It's a RIM add-on app (like BBM, FB, Twitter, BB Maps, Tasks, Memo Pad, etc.). Probably better in the native apps forum.
I dunno maybe its just me but if an app asks to reset device it normally means it needs to reset.. some apps do some don't app world does and it will probably pop back up in your downloads folder just like after my batter pull

The majority of people that have this problem did the reset when asked to do so and have done a battery pull... Nothing seems to get the icon back

I read the problems described here, but just updated BB App World anyway. I followed the prompt to reboot (which took longer than usual,) found the BB App World icon in its usual spot in my Applications folder, opened BB App World, accepted the legal agreement and all was good to go.
I am able to read reviews while on WiFi. Some apps which had been missing from the My World list are back. Installed on a 9700 running v5.0.0.586.
