I know that this question was asked this past summer, but a few new apps and updates to old apps make me want to ask this question again:

Which app is the best Twitter app for the Blackberry OS V5?? In my mind, best means users friendly, reliable and OS V5 compatable.

I use UberTwitter and it is awesome as mjneid stated. It is filled with features you'd expect from a good paid app and best of all, it's free!

Social scope is best, but you gotta get lucky and get in right away. Some have to wait for an invite and it can take a long time. If you cant get that, Uber is the 2nd best.

Yeah I agree ! Socialscope is the best. But incase you donot have an invite, look no further than Ubertwitter.

SocialScope is great if you desire Twitter + Facebook integration. IMO, it's not great as a single client for Twitter or Facebook. If you're looking for a Twitter client, Ubertwitter is the best.

I use social scope. I think its the best out there but I like having FB and Twitter together. Otherwise i love TweetGenius. Uber is ok to me. Its all about personal opinion.

I switch back and forth between TweetGenius and Ubertwitter but for the most part I stick to TweetGenius - the UI is beautiful!

Ubertwitter is free though and with the latest update boasts a few more features.

I like SocialScope, have been using it for a while now, about a year I think.
The latest version integrate not just Twitter and Facebook, but also FourSquare. So I can check in using the same client. The last couple of versions have an even nicer look. It has all the features I need/want.
In older versions you were redirected to the twitter website to look at profiles, now that is displayed directly in the program as well.

But you need invites. I was lucky, I got one in less than a week.
