While I cannot speak for BuzzMe Pro as I haven't tried it, I can say that the DoD featuring BerryBuzz was quite a steal for me. BerryBuzz has been an EXCELLENT application for me, allowing me to check what kind of messages I have waiting for me with the instant LED notifications. Not to mention the addition of the Vibe&Ring settings.
I'm not quite sure if I would have paid the full six dollars for BerryBuzz as all it is is a LED customizer and vibe&ringer, but I'm extremely happy with the purchase through Deal of the Day.
