    hi there,

I got my first blackberry (BOLD) recently without a data plan on Rogers. I called Rogers to block all data on their side. So im using wifi for browsing and Beejive. It only works when i turn Manage Connections > Data Service > ON. So my question is will some data be used and leaked on Beejive with the WIFI option on and i get charged for data on my bill. I know that for iphones, Rogers can't guarantee 100% data block. Is it the same for Blackberry?

    Thanks in advance for help

You may set Jive to Wifi Preferred and it'll ride on wifi when in range.

if youre away from hotspot however, I know (tmobile usa at least) that my Jive will just stop working if I dont have data. I wont get anything.

Data leak? for residual fees? Iono..

I've been using Beejive for more than a year, and regret to say I've had to uninstall it from my Storm2 as the new version hogs the battery. With Beejive on, my battery level fell to 40% by noon. Without it, I don't reach 40% even at bedtime -- I am using the Seidio 1600 mAh extended battery on my Storm2.
